Pray
Prayer is the foundation of our ministry. We understand prayer to be experiencing God’s presence, hearing his heart for others and the world around us, and then responding by engaging our world in mission. Praying in this way has transformed the way we live and work, and we work to create opportunities and prayer spaces that allow local believers and other cross-cultural workers to encounter God and be transformed as well.
Encourage
We love creating safe environments that allow people to discover their identity in Christ and step into the fullness of who he has created them to be. We cheer others on and empower them to serve as only they can in their spheres of influence.
Many cross-cultural workers are discouraged and depressed and need people to walk with them for encouragement. Having overcome extreme adversity that led to clinical depression while living in Asia, Daniel has found complete freedom and wholeness and is now known for his joy and vitality for life. We love bringing this same experience of breakthrough to nationals and other cross-cultural workers, helping them find joy in the midst of the challenges and adversities they face.
Equip
Equipping believers for ministry through teaching and hands-on practical application, as mentioned in Ephesians 4, is an essential component of what we do. Our end goal is to see believers walk in maturity and unity of faith so that they can not only live an abundant life in the Kingdom, but also minister powerfully to the believers and unbelievers around them.

Using the power gifts of Holy Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12

Guide
Because we believe that the Holy Spirit is everything Jesus said he would be for us (John 14, 15, 16), we practically guide people in how to deepen their relationship with the Holy Spirit and learn how to receive his guidance, wisdom, and knowledge for them in all of life’s situations, both big and small. We see our role as equippers (Ephesians 4:12-13), not as a solutions-givers. We want to equip others to hear from the Holy Spirit, think through options, and move forward in obedience. Being trained coaches helps us facilitate this process in a practical way. Coaching helps people find solutions. As they do, they are equipped to create future solutions. We have come to believe strongly that coaching skills are essential to multiply disciples, leaders, and our ministry impact.
Daniel is a certified professional coach holding credentials with the ICF (International Coach Federation). He is also certified with the Pairin Management System, a robust assessment that measures the intensity of over 100 changeable Attitudes, Motivations, and Behavioral Proficiencies including EQ. It provides insights and tools to teachers, mentors, students, and employers to focus and accelerate the development of essential skills that lead to success in work and life.
Rachel is homeschooling our four daughters and is a consultant helping other cross-cultural workers thrive and reach their potential in education with their own children.
